The New Hampshire Bankers Association (NHBA) annually honors one New
Hampshire bank employee who has truly gone above and beyond to improve
the State of New Hampshire through their civic and community engagement.
Ms. Underwood was selected for this prestigious honor by a panel of
leading public officials from the State of New Hampshire. Her nomination
read, in part, “She is a shining example of a business leader who has
made a tremendous impact on her community outside of the boardroom by
regularly devoting her energy, time, expertise, and passion to the Upper
Valley and Lake Sunapee Region communities.”
The panel of judges noted Ms. Underwood’s clear commitment to bringing
positive change to her community with the creation of the first ever Go
Red for Women event in the Upper Valley to increase awareness that heart
disease is the #1 health risk for women, and also bringing a “Fit
Friendly” initiative to encourage local businesses to help their
employees live healthier lives.
